We have just had a very busy weekend at Eb with Christmas Holiday Club, Exodus and of course Sam’s baptism, I hope to write on some of this later.
Tonight we had our annual Night Attack. The idea is for the Genesis group to get to the top of the Billy Whynt (Garth Mountain Llantrisant) without being spotted by a team of guards consisting of volunteers from the church. Every time a team is caught by a guard, a pen mark is placed on their badges and the team with the fewest marks are the winners. The weather once again threatened to spoil things but the rain did hold off and we were able to proceed.
Some took things more seriously than others.
There were two teams that managed to reach the top without being spotted, one of whom took the direct route crawling through the ferns while the other walked up a path that happened to be unguarded. The climb is worthwhile as there is a good view from the top.
