One of the surprising things about blogging is that there is plenty of information available as to how many people access the blog. It is also possible to know where the reader has come from, whether from clicking a link or from a search engine like Google and if so, what was typed into the search box. There is no information if someone has typed in the web address directly or saved it as a favourite.
The biggest referrer to this blog is Facebook although some find it through Google by using simply “thoughts from eb” or something similar and there are the accidental hits when people are searching for , for example “Richard Taylor Victory Outreach” or “Penygawsi School”, I hope that they were not too disappointed. These referrals make up a small percentage of the hits on the blog.
During the late afternoon on Christmas Day, I went to turn off the laptop which had been left on from earlier preparation and out of curiosity checked the hits. I was delighted to find that there were none at all, which must mean that everyone had better things to do on Christmas day like being with family and friends and even attending church. Later in the day there were a total of eight hits which is well down on the average for December which is twenty-seven.
