Yesterday afternoon I spent an enjoyable time in the company of Class 4 of Penygawsi Primary School. The children had been learning about churches and Mrs Bannister their teacher had asked me to tell the class what my job entails (I suspect there are quite a few adults who would like to know that!).
I took a few things along that sort of point to some of the activities such as a Bible, laptop, guitar, wedding and funeral ties, a table tennis bat and wig for the youth work and bread and wine to point to visiting those not able to get to church. The children were really well behaved, listened well and asked some very good questions. We started and finished the session with songs accompanied by the guitar.
Incidentally, I’ve noticed that I get a number of hits from people searching for the Penygawsi School Blog. It can be found by clicking here.
