Most people will know that I’m not a Welsh speaker but the Welsh word ‘hiraeth’ does strike a chord with me. There is no direct translation but the online Welsh dictionary from the University of Wales at Lampeter states that the word means a homesickness, grief or sadness after the lost or departed, longing, yearning, nostalgia, wistfulness and earnest desire. Perhaps that is over stating things a bit but whenever I’m away, I do begin to miss the things of home.
Since arriving home things have been very busy with a full Sunday and then Holiday Club every morning this week. Today was a great start to the week as Gary took us through creation.
I’ll post more on Holiday Club as well as Sunday’s message later in the week.
