Food was the theme for the first part of Genesis yesterday. We had a number of food based questions and challenges. The questions included;
- How much is a regular Big Mac meal? Which most of them seemed to know!
- How many calories are in a regular Big Mac? (490 in case you’re wondering),
- The prices of some everyday food items for which some seemed to have a fair idea and others no clue.
The challenges included moving sweets with cocktail sticks and straws and races to eat a Mars bar and five dry cream crackers.
For the talk, Tudor spoke about some of the reasons that have brought him to believe the gospel. He had a great quote from HG Wells
“I am an historian, I am not a believer, but I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very centre of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history.”
