On Monday night after Genesis, I took one of the guys home in the car. I had dropped him off and was turning the car around, when I saw it. A house with the full complement of Christmas lights flashing away on the cold NOVEMBER night, it was the 22nd. The next day I was handed my first Christmas card. Yes it’s the time of year when many adults inwardly groan, many children start to reach fever pitch and Sir Cliff Richard releases a single.
For Christians, it’s a time of year when we remember the birth of the Lord Jesus and also a time when we have an opportunity to reach out with the Christmas message of “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.”
This year we have a number openings and the first is December 6th at the Vale Resort where the ‘Eb choir’ will be singing carols at their Christmas Fair. As well as the singing, the management at the Vale have kindly given us permission to have our own stand at the fair.
If you regularly attend Eb, you may be wondering why it is that you have never heard of the choir, well the good news is that you are already a vital part of that choir!
Please pray for this event and if at all possible join with us as we sing the carols. Plan B would be for me to entertain the crowds with some solos with banjo accompaniment and that would be a very, very long night!
To complete the Christmas theme, it’s been snowing for the last few hours.
