The greatest event of all time past or future was undoubtedly the death and resurrection of Christ. It could be said that the Old Testament looks forward to it and the New Testament is devoted to the event and its implications. There are countless books on the subject both academic and devotional. Countless hymns and songs have sought to express the feelings of generations of believers. Ultimately even the greatest thinkers are left floundering as they consider the eternal Word, crucified for sinners.
He Knew
- To know the day of your death
- To know the manner of your death
- His predictions became increasingly clear

- The Roman soldiers know he was dead
- He was buried
- He was the author of life
- He humbled himself and became obedient to death
He Won

- The debt was paid
- Death was conquered
- The sacrifice accepted
