As sung by ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ himself;
“It’s very nice to go trav’ling
To Paris, London and Rome
It’s oh, so nice to go trav’ling
But it’s so much nicer
Yes, it’s so much nicer to come home.”
It really was a bit before my time but I believe there is a truth here. As I posted last year, one of the great things about going away is the chance to come home to family and friends and of course to renew fellowship.
We were blessed to have a lovely restful week away and have some quality time together. We were also treated to some beautiful sunsets.
I don’t wish to be ungrateful but one thing about going on holiday, and coming back for that matter, that I really do not like is the flying. How do you fit 235 people into a Boeing 757 200 that looks only slightly larger than a 47 seater coach? You just cram them in inhuman conditions for four hours. I now have a lot more sympathy for the Japanese commuters being squeezed onto trains. I think I know how they feel!
It’s good to be back.
