Fans of F1 will know that the start is one of the most important elements of any race. Of course the finish is the most important but the sheer amount of energy expended in order to qualify as near to the front of the grid as possible illustrates just how vital a good start can be.
It feels a bit like that at the church at the moment with many of the programmes gearing up again after the summer break. Yesterday, the Toddler group got off to a flying start and next week the youth and children’s groups begin again.
As if that wasn’t enough, tomorrow we have the wedding of Ruth and Martin.
I’m sure I will be sharing a flavour of these things in the coming days but in the meantime we can always pray for the Lord’s blessing, after all, it would be pointless without him.
